Wholana MCP puts your workspace inside the AI chat app you already use. Once it is connected, Claude or ChatGPT can search the TikTok corpus, read a video’s craft breakdown and transcript, save swipes into a Collection, pin references onto a script, and set up Lens tabs for you. You never write a filter, a query, or a line of code. You describe what you are after and the assistant does the looking.

What you can ask for

Real requests that map to what the connector can actually do:
The assistant answers in the chat, and anything it saves shows up in Wholana straight away. There is no import step and no sync button.

What you need

Wholana MCP is on Plus and Team. It is not included on Personal. See Pricing.
  • A workspace on Plus or Team. The plan belongs to the workspace, not to you, so on Team every seat gets it.
  • A chat app that can add a custom connector: Claude and ChatGPT both can.
  • Nothing else. There is no token to generate, copy, or keep safe.
The plan is checked on every request, not only when you connect. If a workspace drops off Plus or Team, its existing connection stops working and the assistant tells you the workspace needs to upgrade.

Connecting it

Open MCP in the Wholana sidebar. The Server URL field there is the one thing you need, with a Copy button next to it:
1

Open your connectors

In Claude, desktop or claude.ai, go to Settings → Connectors.
2

Add a custom connector

Click Add custom connector.
3

Name it and paste the URL

Name it Wholana and paste the Server URL.
4

Connect and sign in

Click Add, then Connect. A Wholana window opens. Sign in and choose the workspace you want the connector to see.
5

Start asking

Wholana’s tools now show up in your chat.
Signing in is the whole setup. The workspace you pick is remembered for that connection.
To connect a different workspace, switch to it in Wholana first, then connect again from your chat app.

What it can reach

Two more things sit in the background, so the assistant does not have to guess: the full craft vocabulary with every valid label, and your workspace’s profile, meaning the TikTok handle it is linked to, its Subjects, and a summary of your brand voice. It reads both without being asked.

What it cannot do

Being clear about the edges saves you a frustrating conversation with your assistant.
  • It cannot post, schedule, or publish anything. Wholana stops where TikTok starts, connector or not.
  • It cannot delete anything. There is no tool for removing a script, a swipe, a Collection, or a Lens. Do that in the app.
  • It cannot start a new script. It edits scripts that already exist. Create the script in Wholana or through the WhatsApp bot, then hand it to your assistant.
  • It cannot write your swipe notes. Videos it saves land with an empty note, the same as any other swipe. The note stays yours.
  • Its text search matches the caption, not the transcript. It is a plain wording match, not the semantic search the app’s search palette runs. If a video is not coming back, filter by creator or by craft label instead of by wording.
  • It cannot look up your own posted-video track record. Read that on Your videos.
  • It sees one workspace. The one you chose when you connected, and only for as long as you are still a member of it.
  • It sees the same corpus the app does, which refreshes daily. A video posted an hour ago is not in it.

Troubleshooting

The workspace behind the connection is not on a plan that includes Wholana MCP, or it was on one and has since been downgraded. The check runs on every request, so an old connection stops working the moment the plan changes. Upgrade from Settings → Billing, then connect again from your chat app.
The workspace is locked in when you connect, not read live. Switch to the workspace you want in Wholana, then reconnect from your chat app. Reconnecting while signed in with the right workspace active repoints it.
Leaving a workspace revokes the connector’s access to it immediately, even though the connection still exists in your chat app. Connect again against a workspace you belong to.
The Wholana window needs you signed in to Wholana in the same browser. Open app.wholana.com, sign in, then start the connection again from your chat app.
The connector only ever touches your own workspace’s scripts, Collections, and Lenses. It says the same thing whether the item belongs to someone else or does not exist, on purpose. Check the name in the app.
Saving is deliberately forgiving. A video already in the Collection is skipped rather than duplicated, and a Lens whose name is already taken on that surface is skipped rather than overwritten. Running the same request twice is safe.
