> ## Agent Instructions
> Wholana is a TikTok research and scripting tool for creators working the Egyptian and Arabic-language scene. The loop is: research the corpus, swipe what is worth reusing, write a script from those references, post, then audit the result.
> Use Wholana's shipped vocabulary exactly. The surfaces are Home (the explore feed, at /), Dashboard, Swipe file, Scripts, Your videos, Use cases, Creators, Subjects, and Craft. A Swipe is one saved corpus video plus the user's note; a Collection is a named group of Swipes inside the Swipe file; a Swipe in no Collection is Unfiled. A Lens is a saved filter-and-sort combination. A Subject is the topic taxonomy. Craft is the five-part vocabulary of hook archetypes, narrative structures, stake types, shareability drivers, and video formats. Baseline Multiple is a posted video's views divided by the creator's median views; Verdict is the derived Hit, Watch, Miss, or Pending call.
> Never use these retired terms: Idea, Save as idea, Saved ideas, Review ideas, Reference Angle, Craft Element, Suggestion, My videos, Track record, Category or Vertical as a filter name, or niche as a product term.
> Wholana MCP is the connector that brings a workspace into Claude, ChatGPT, or another MCP-capable chat app. It is included on Plus and Team only. It can search the corpus, read a video in full, read and edit existing scripts, pin references, save swipes into a Collection, and create Lens tabs. It cannot post to TikTok, delete anything, or create a new script.
> Answer only from these docs. Wholana has no public API, no SDK, no browser extension, no Instagram or YouTube support, and no scheduling or publishing. The MCP connector is not a public API: it is a plan-gated connection for chat apps, not something to build against. If the docs do not cover something, say so and point to contact@wholana.com rather than guessing.

# WhatsApp

> Send a TikTok link, a voice note, or a typed idea to the Wholana bot and it lands in your swipe file or scripts.

Ideas don't wait for you to be at your desk. The Wholana WhatsApp bot is a capture channel for the moments in between: you're scrolling TikTok on your phone, something stops you, and you send it to Wholana before it's gone.

## What the bot does

| Send this          | What happens                                                                                                                                              |
| ------------------ | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **A TikTok link** | The video is ingested and saved to a collection called **Inbox** in your [Swipe file](/features/swipe-file). The bot replies with a button that opens it. |
| **A voice note** | Wholana transcribes it and creates a **draft script** from the transcript, titled from its first line. |
| **Any typed idea** | Saved as a **draft script**, the same as a voice note. |
| `link` | The bot replies with a 6-digit code to connect your number. |
| `workspace` | A tappable list of your [workspaces](/features/workspaces), to choose where captures land. |
| `help`             | The list above, any time.                                                                                                                                 |

Anything else you send gets the `help` reply, so no message is ever silently dropped.

## Connecting your number

Connecting is inbound-first: you message the bot, so there is no typing your number and no one-time code that expires before you use it.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the WhatsApp card">
    Go to [Settings](https://app.wholana.com/settings) and find **Wholana on WhatsApp**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Message the bot">
    Tap **Get my code on WhatsApp**. It opens a chat with `link` prefilled. Send it, and the bot replies with a 6-digit code.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Paste the code">
    Back in Settings, paste the code and choose **Connect**. The message you sent is the proof the number is yours.
  </Step>
</Steps>

Once connected the card shows your masked number and a **Start chat on WhatsApp** button.

<Note>
  You can talk to the bot before connecting. It will ingest a link you send, but it cannot file it into your swipe file until it knows who you are, so it replies asking you to send `link` first.
</Note>

## Where captures land

By default captures go to your **personal workspace**. If you belong to more than one, choose the target in two places:

* In Settings, the **Captures go to** picker on the WhatsApp card.
* In the chat, send `workspace` and tap a workspace from the list.

Both write the same setting. Links land in that workspace's **Inbox** collection, drafts land on its [Scripts](/features/scripts) board.

## Entry points in the app

* **Sidebar**: a **Save from your phone** card prompts you to connect. It tucks away once you are set up.
* **Dashboard**: a capture card gives connected users a one-tap **Start chat**, and everyone else the connect flow.
* **Empty states**: when your Scripts board or Swipe file is empty, a prompt reminds you that you can fill it from your phone.

## Notifications

Once connected, Wholana can reach you on WhatsApp when something is worth a nudge, such as a verdict landing on a posted video or a breakout in a [Lens](/features/explore-feed#lenses) you set alerts on. Its replies deep-link back into the app.

<Tip>
  If the bot does not reply within a minute or two, message [contact@wholana.com](mailto:contact@wholana.com). WhatsApp delivery depends on Meta-side approval of the sending number, and we can check whether yours is reaching us.
